Greetings. I’m Sasha Mercedes, a singer/songwriter from the shores of Lake Superior. I have been honing my craft for the past 8 years, playing all over the U.S. and beyond, releasing a number of albums of original music as well as learning a variety of cover songs that a wide audience can enjoy. I am currently self-booking a resort/college tour and will be coming to your neck of the woods this fall/winter to play a series of concerts.
Often compared to Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks, I am a story teller through song. Music is the one thing in this life that I am most passionate about and I want to express my stories and talent with as many people as I can. My hope is that I will have the opportunity to share my music with the students at your campus.
Please email me if you might be interested in hiring me to play an event, dinner or full-out concert. My schedule is fairly flexible, as I am dedicating it to my tour, so please send me any possible dates that might work for you and your organizations.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
-Sasha Mercedes

“Some recording artists play well, some sing well, some write well. Bayfield, WI native, Sasha Mercedes does all those…very well, thank you.” -Eric Sharp, Bayfield County Journal
“Sasha Mercedes delivers performances whose excellence puts them in a class of their own. With a witty and down to earth stage presence, brilliant lyrics born of true experience and command of a rock-solid guitar style, she never fails to draw and audience into the realm of her art.” -Rob Caswell, American Music and Arts Festival, Baltimore, MD
Sasha Mercedes has come a long way since the release of her first solo album, “Pipe Dreams” in 2001, recorded with Tom Fabjance, previous sound engineer for the Smashing Pumpkins and Mazzy Star. “Pipe Dreams” is a collection of both raw and progressive original material that deals with issues of Sasha’s youth. This album was re-released in November of 2005.
Her second album, “Tide”, released in 2004 is a more reflective sound with slide guitars and organs adding to the mix of Sasha’s ever percussive guitar style and powerful voice. This record was also a collaboration with Fabjance, this time at Sacred Heart Studios in Duluth, MN.
Sasha’s third alum, written, produced and engineered by the singer herself was released in the summer of 2006. On this project Sasha is joined by the extremely talented, Marky Baby Rossow, who adds his multi-instrumental genius and helps to make the album “6 Track Sessions” Mercedes’ best collection of songs to date. ***********************************************************
Performing coast to coast, Sasha Mercedes attracts fans wherever she plays, be it The Sweetwater in San Francisco or The American Music and Arts festival just outside Baltimore. In 2000 she opened for Dar Williams and a year later she was playing in the Czech Republic! With all of the changes that have taken place and all of the miles traveled during her musical career, one thing has remained constant and that is the determination to bring her music to an ever-widening audience.
